Farm Days with our new cria

This little guy came to the ranch 3 days before we opened for farm days. His name is SS Sterling Silver and belongs to Sherri of Sherri’s Shearings. His shyness didn’t last long! By Sunday he was walking up to people! Isn’t he something?

Alpaca on the Rocks is located on Highway 97 north of Weed, California. The ranch is home to alpacas, as well as mini-horses, mini-donkeys, a mini-mule, two pot belly pigs, and a variety of dogs and cats. Since discovering the wonders of alpaca fiber, we have developed a group of local artisans who display their handmade natural products on location at the ranch store, so visitors can visit the animals and also see how the fiber can be used. My passion is needle felting- sculpting in fiber. I love to show people the technique and introduce them to all of my animals.
